A Personal Story
My greatest influences are travel, the rugged Texas landscape, and colors and textures in nature and interiors.
I became interested in art at a young age and later pursued art in college, graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Studio Art. It took me years to finally pursue my dreams of becoming an artist. I worked several years as a graphic designer and later as an art and preschool teacher. In 2013, I began selling my art.
I recently created a wallpaper line based off of my abstract paintings, which will officially launch in January 2016. Samples and rolls will be available on my website. It is digitally printed in the USA and looks like art for the walls.
Social media provides a great opportunity for me to share my passion for art, whether it’s something happening in my studio or something I find inspiring. The artist community on Instagram is an amazing platform.
For me, art is a way of communicating an emotion and finding beauty in something that might otherwise be over looked. While incredibly humbling, it gives me great joy putting my art into the world.
